Planning a Bachelorette Party usually entails heading to the casino or nearest city for an epic bar-hop/pub-crawl. For me, I wanted to go to a spa and ride roller coasters. Where was I going to be able to do both of those things? Hershey, Pennsylvania!
Valentine's Day Crafts
Happy Valentine's Day! In preparation for today, I went searching and found plenty of pins for fun crafts with the baby! We're working on finger painting but making hand and foot prints are still easier (for the record, foot prints are the easiest).
StitchFix: My 2nd Fix
Two months ago I signed up for StitchFix and wrote about the pieces I received, the items I kept, the items I sent back and the overall experience. You can read that review here. I received my second fix this month and I have to say, I loved this Fix even more than my first!
Reading to children is important for their development and a great way for parents to form a strong bond while also decompressing from their long day. Speaking from experience, reading the same books over and over again, though fine for the little ones becomes pretty redundant for parents. Which is why I like to use upcoming holidays as a reason to refresh some of the books in our rotation. Valentine's Day is coming up and what better gift to give your littlest Valentine than a few new books?
Despite how the title of this post sounds, it is not actually MY sippy cup, but my daughter's sippy cup. She just isn't able to articulate why she has selected the one she has to be her favorite so I am here doing that for her. Now that we got that awkwardness out of the way I will reveal and review her favorite and other ones that did not make the cut.
It's Super Bowl Sunday! While I'm not a fan of either team that is playing tonight I am a fan of eating at the viewing party. Kick off is 6:30 PM EST which means it isn't too late to get this STUPID easy, chili in the Crock Pot. There's a good chance you already have all of the ingredients you need.
A while back I talked about how we introduced Princess C to her first taste of "solid" food, rice cereal. We opted to go with the brand name we knew, Gerber and everything was fine. She ate it, she seemed to enjoy it, she digested it fine, no complaints. Then the time came for us to be back in the baby aisle at the grocery store to pick out fruits and vegetable jars. This time, we would not opt for Gerber.
As I've mentioned before, I previously worked at a daycare center where I was first the assistant teacher and then the lead teacher in the 12-18 month room. I truly enjoyed my time at both of these positions, it was always fun to see a baby enter my classroom not speaking or walking and watch that baby grow into babbling, walking person! I enjoyed arts and crafts; mostly finger painting with me cutting their blobs of paint into things and I enjoyed our daily routine of "circle time".
As you scroll through my blog you may notice somethings are out of sync. Some posts have title graphics, some do not, some posts have perfect Pinterest-sized graphics, others do not..I am learning more and more each day on how to improve my blog and as I find ways to make it better, updating the back log to make it all uniformed is taking some time. But please, stay with me as I look to correct my blog and make it *N SYNC (sorry, couldn't help myself) for your future enjoyment. I am still working on new posts that I will share and I am happy to say these will be in the new format that I have created that I think is working really well. Until it is all sorted out and I have time to recreate graphics and create ones from scratch please, pardon my pixie dust. Thank you!
I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They are a great lunch staple in houses across the country. But what happens when you get a craving for a piece of your childhood (or your children are begging for a PB&J) and you don't have a traditional loaf of bread? Here are four ways to get you PB&J fix!
