"Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere."
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is a tradition I am passing down to my children. This time-honored classic needs to be seen by every generation until the end of time. I am so happy this still airs on prime time TV. This and all of the other Charlie Brown holiday specials.

This weekend we are taking Princess C to our local downtown for some "trick or treating" from shop to shop. Though she may be too small to understand what the heck is going on this is more for mommy anyway!
This holiday season we are going to get to celebrate a TON of first; first Halloween, first Thanksgiving, first Christmas, first New Years and with all of these holidays comes multiple outfits. What does a 4 month old dress up like for Halloween anyway? Well a pumpkin of course! This costume was actually suggested by my hubby and I think it was a great choice (I just so happened to be a pumpkin for my first halloween).
Let's face it, babies get lots of toys and stuffed animals but they don't always seem to be interested in all of them. Princess C has already selected her favorite items at just 4 months old. Some toys get no love while others get all the kisses (and bites and slobber). Here are a few of her favorite things.
LIPSENSE
Watch out LulaRoe there's a new Facebook group sales push in town. If you haven't seen videos of women applying lipstick and then trying to smear it around their face, to no avail or kissing their mirror to show it simply does not come off I feel you may be in the minority.
Let me mention that I am not nor do I plan on becoming a seller of LipSense I just had to give it a try and now I'm sharing my experience with you. Much like the #MomOn Yoplait commercial this video that has been circulating on Facebook lately talks about all of the different "groups" moms fall into in a hilarious tongue meet cheek way. All of the stereotypical mom groups are represented; stay at home mom, formula-feeding mom, breast-feeding mom, working mom, all-natural moms - you name it, the mom group is covered, I see you stay at home dads. Now, not to spoil it for you but the end takes an unexpectedly, dark turn that brings all of the groups together just further illustrating it doesn't matter what type of mom you are, we are all moms (and dads). So be nice to the mom you meet that is moming differently than you. Take a look at the video (remember it is meant to be FUNNY) and let me know your thoughts! DIAPER BAG EDITION
As Princess C is getting older I am getting more comfortable leaving the house with her and that means loading up the diaper bag! I remember searching store after store for the perfect diaper bag, not knowing the sex of the baby I wanted to make sure the bag could work no matter what popped out of me. After more time than I would like to admit I finally decided black might be the best option and I'm sharing everything I keep in there.
FRANKENSTEIN FOOTPRINT ARTWORK
These days if you are looking for an idea to try in the kitchen or with your wardrobe or with you children chances are you have searched in Pinterest. I used Pinterest a lot when I was working at a daycare as a Lead Teacher in the 12 to 18 month classroom but there is quite a difference between a 16 month old and a 3 month old and while I've wanted to do all the cute arts and crafts with Princess C she is just much to small (which is fine, I'm not trying to rush her to grow up by any means!)
So I found myself needing new, more age appropriate ideas for her and I and being that is is October I thought it might be fun to find some Halloween themed pins. Here's the deal though, an artist I am not, and getting a 3 month old to open her toes is not as easy as you might think. So, I did my best.
I'm sure we've all seen the Yoplait #MomOn commercial by now that cuts to different moms talking about the way they mom. I have to give it up to Yoplait because the first time I saw this commercial I thought it was awesome. I'm not sure which part I could relate to more; being cool with formula feeding, drinking wine or not eating "cage-free, Norwegian, hemp-milk", the extended version even mentions Yoga pants! Any way you want to mom is OK! We have to be easier on one another and I think Yoplait did a great job with this ad. Here is the extended version for your viewing pleasure that can be found on Yoplait's Youtube channel. Enjoy.
Since I am now a "grown up" with a child of my own, it is time I stopped relying on my parents to pay for parties I want to throw. But that also means I am finding out just how expensive it is throw parties! This Sunday we are celebrated Princess C's Baptism and this is the first "real" party I have been in full control of, both theme wise and bill wise.
