CHRISTMAS EDITION: PART TWO
Everyone knows I am going to instill a love for all things Disney onto my kids but everyone also knows their kids will get Disney inspired gifts from me as well.
Check out what I bought my baby girl here and follow the jump to see what I purchased for my nephew.
CHRISTMAS EDITION: PART ONE
Now that Thanksgiving is behind us it is full steam ahead to Christmas. Over the next week I'm going to share with you the gifts I have bought for the children in my life, ranging from 6 months to 8 years. No matter the age, these kids are going to have a very Disney Christmas!
LULAROE: PART TWO
Since my first review of LulaRoe I have purchased new items. Their collaboration did indeed bring us Disney prints for Halloween however they did not do Christmas prints, unless you count the Nightmare Before Christmas they released with their Halloween villains collection.
THANKSGIVING CRAFTS & CUPCAKES
Thanksgiving is tomorrow!
We have been preparing for Princess C's first Thanksgiving and with that comes holiday themed arts and crafts. The typical turkey crafts usually are made up of just your hand however, as you can imagine a 5 month old's hands are a bit too small to trace and make a turkey. Also, trying to paint her palm brown and the rest of her fingers a different color is down right laughable. So when I need ideas, where do I go? To Pinterest of course!
Reading to your child at any age is a great way to bond, a great way for them to learn and a great way to sit down and relax. Face it. you both need it. The type of books you read will depend on the age of your child. The smaller the child, the more dare I say lame some of the choices are. I have a 5 month old, my choices for her "reading level" are not even necessarily stories but more picture books with words labeling everything. Don't get me wrong these types of books are important for her language development but every once and a while you need to mix things up.
ORGANIZING BABY CLOTHES
I can't believe Princess C has already grown out of three sizes of clothes! She was 6 pounds at birth so she was a bit of a peanut and hung out in her newborn clothes for over a month and then slowly grew into 0-3. Now she is working on out growing 3-6 months! With all this growing it left behind clothes that can no longer be worn by her but may be worn by someone else in the future. Whenever I need ideas on how to do something I head to, you guessed it, Pinterest! Not surprising there were plenty of pins on how to organize baby clothes.
Do you know a soon-to-be mama or a brand new mama? If you are looking to buy her something for her little one take a look at my list of products I love plus a few I got that I didn't need.
Prior to my pregnancy I liked leggings, during my pregnancy they allowed me to not have to wear maternity jeans and post pregnancy they allow me to not have to buy pants. Ever. Again. I wear LulaRoe leggings and if you are thinking about buying some (or something else) from them, check out my review. Save your "leggings aren't pants" comments because they are not welcome here.
KIT KAT BROWNIES
I am a desert lover! The more chocolate, the better! I am not a chef though and will admit to using pre-made (and pre-cut) cookie dough, box cake mix and box brownies. When I found this pin I thought it seemed easy enough and I liked how it right out said, use a box mix. No need to pretend like I was going to make my own batter from scratch.
A few weeks ago at C's 4 month checkup her doctor said we could introduce first foods; rice cereal or oatmeal, from now through six months. The hubby and I both noticed that Princess C was working really hard on strengthening her neck muscles, (she's a Tummy Time champ) and when she sits in her high chair at the dinner table with us she is super interested in what we are doing. At 4 and half months we decided we were ready to at least see what she did.
