Valentine's Day Crafts
Happy Valentine's Day! In preparation for today, I went searching and found plenty of pins for fun crafts with the baby! We're working on finger painting but making hand and foot prints are still easier (for the record, foot prints are the easiest).
We may have gone a bit overboard this weekend but we made a bunch of crafts! Like I mentioned getting the baby's foot print is easier than getting her hand print. So I wanted to find crafts that incorporated her feet.
Combining this pin and this pin we made a card for daddy. Turning hands into hearts is not as easy as the pin makes it look, perhaps C needs to be a bit older but I did my best to position her hands in the same manner. Spelling out "love" was no walk in the park either. You'll see below that my 'V' kind of got away from me.
The only problem with making a craft like spelling out 'love' is that you really only get one shot. It was difficult enough trying to position her prints in a 'V' but then if I put her hand down too close or too far away, it was all over.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't have any decorations up for Valentine's Day so to combat that, I let little Princess C finger paint with red paint and then I cut out hearts and attached them to a piece of yarn for a make-shift banner.
It was like a crafting bootcamp at our house over the weekend but I loved it because with the weather being poor it made for a fun indoor day!
How did my crafts turn out? Pinterest NAIL or FAIL?
