Well it is happening, Princess C is now three months old. I know they say it goes by quick but man time really has flown by so far. Hard to believe that it has been three months since I've left the house (kidding, but not really). This past Friday I took the night off and went out with a friend of mine to a paint and sip (tea) event at a local tea shop.
The theme of the night was Alice in Wonderland and we were going to "paint the roses red". For a flat fee the tea shop provided not only the art supplies but also unlimited tea and a small buffet of sweet treats.
The night wasn't exactly "Mom's Gone Wild" but it was fun! The event was only a few hours long and we were less than an hour away. In hindsight I realize I took my car which has the base for the carseat so if there was an emergency I'm not sure where they were going or how they would have gotten there. But no need to dwell on that as nothing happened!
Not only was it my first time out of the house it was also my first time at a painting event and going in to this I had no idea how someone who was artistically challenged would be able to paint a picture.
Turns out they provide a stencil! You simply cut it out and trace the image on to the canvas. Then use said stencil as a guide for how your painting should look when it is all said and done. So simple! So easy! So fun!
