Can you believe it's been 25 years since the sitcom Friends debuted? I was admittedly very young when this show started but my parents watched it and have said it was on since it's premier but my first vivid Friends memory is when Ross said, "I take thee Rachel" during his wedding to EMILY. Since then I've watched and rewatched the entire series numerous times over and can quote Friends in every day conversations. There is A LOT going on to celebrate the show's milestone but if you want something that isn't going to cost you anything I say power up Netflix (okay, you may have to pay for that) and watch these 25 episodes of Friends to celebrate it's 25th anniversary.
"On October 3rd he asked what day it was.." It's Mean Girls day everyone! I admittedly haven't watched this movie from start to finish in a long time BUT that doesn't stop me from being able to drop a quote down on the regular. Today is October 3rd and I'm sharing some of my favorite Mean Girls quotes and when you can use them in everyday life.
I've mentioned this before. I like the Kar-Jenner family. I enjoy watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and I don't see any shame in any of their game. I find them to be pretty relatable (minus their multi-million dollar homes and the like) because they fight, they have things that get them down, and they like to be silly. They just have a higher budget than most but that doesn't make them unlikeable, in my opinion. Kim was incredibly open about her struggles during her two pregnancies and why she decided to have a surrogate with her 3rd and now her 4th child. While she may not register at Buy Buy Baby she did have a baby shower prior to Chicago being born and she has said she is planning on having another baby shower prior to her new baby being born (rumored to be due in May).
First Mindy Kaling came for The Little Mermaid stating it was "problematic", but in the same breath called Ursula the Sea Witch a "great character". Insert the eye roll here. Now Keira Knightly and Kristen Bell are coming for Cinderella and Snow White respectively. Oddly enough, all three of these women have been employed by Disney at one point or another, talk about biting the hand that feeds you, but I digress. Let's break down what each actress said.
It is no secret that I am a fan of the Kardashians. I enjoy their show (and all of the spin offs) and I really admire how close of a family they seem to be despite their fame, fortune and drama. Now, I'm no Kris Jenner, if I look one third of as good as she looks over 60 I'll be happy, but one tradition she's instilled in her kids is something I plan on doing with mine. Sharing your "peak and pit" at the end of every family vacation.
On April 30, 2018 the boyband *NSYNC (or 'N SYNC depending on how far back your fan-girling days go) received a star on the famed, Hollywood Walk of Fame. First of all, it is about damn time. Second of all, QUE ALL THE TEARS. This year marks the 20th anniversary since the group's debut album and the first time in TWO YEARS all five men were at the same place at the same time. More than 2,000 fans ascended to LA to try and get a glimpse of the boys and to relive a simpler time at their Dirty Pop-Up shop and experience. I wanted to be there more than words can express but sadly I was left to watch the live stream from my living room and eat up every Facebook Live and Instagram photo I could get.
