It's the most wonderful time of the year! Theme park experiences might be a bit different in 2020, but lots of our favorite places to visit are still making sure guests have a holly, jolly time - with some parks even adding NEW experiences for 2020! I'm sharing how Disney World, Busch Gardens, Dollywood, Hersheypark, Sesame Place and Six Flags are celebrating this holiday season.

shopDisney is featuring a new Marvel hero each week as part of "Marvel Mania". shopDisney kicked off the celebration with Spider-Man, week 2 was all about The Avengers, week 3 X-MEN and now week 4 turns the spotlight on Black Widow.
This time in our lives is unprecedented. Schools are closed for weeks (and in some cities until the end of the school year) and news headlines certainly sound scary to adults and most likely even scarier to kids. That's why it is good to talk to kids about what is going on in the world with age appropriate language. If you have a preschooler who wants to know why they aren't going to school or a toddler who is begging to go to the library for story time (even if week after week she kicked and screamed the whole way there) you can use their favorite Disney Junior characters to help explain what it means when someone is sick and why we are actively trying to avoid getting sick.
I'm an avid Friends fan. I've seen each episode 10 times or more and I can easily work a quote into every day conversation. I'm also a relatively big Marvel fan. I've seen every movie from Iron Man to End Game. I always knew these two fandoms had a connection by way of the (never aging) Paul Rudd but I discovered just the other night that their connection runs deeper than that.
if you grew up in the 90's chances are you found yourself in the age-old debate of if Anastasia was a Disney movie or not at least once, most likely multiple times. I remember being locked in a debate in high school that could only be settled by asking a teacher if she could look it up for us on her computer. I was right of course because Anastasia was in fact NOT a Disney movie but because it came out in the thick of the Disney Princess movie surge; Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and Mulan were all released from 1990 to 1999, many believed it was. Times have changed my friend, all of those who were once wrong are now right, with Disney acquiring 21st Century Fox, Anastasia now falls under the Disney umbrella, so where is the Grand Duchess?
Did you know shopDisney holds fun and free events multiple times throughout the year? These events usually coincide with a release of a new movie or holiday. These events are usually geared towards toddlers and require adult supervision. Check your local Disney Store to see which events the are participating in and go!
If you have a toddler, chances are you've seen your fair share of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes. This show no longer airs new episodes but they are On Demand, for sale on DVD and are still constantly played on Disney Junior. One episode in particular always puts a smile on my face, Mickey's Monster Musical. This extended episode is almost a scene for scene adaptation of Rocky Horror Picture Show.
If you haven't heard, which I don't know how you haven't, but Disney has their own streaming service, Disney+ and it begins on November 12th. Lots of programming details were released at this year's D23 expo but just yesterday, Disney+ shared the extensive list of movies and shows that would be available to stream the first day of service. Hold on tight because it is A LOT.
