Full disclosure, I am no interior designer. Joanna Gaines, I am not. Taking on designing (and I use this term loosely) the nursery was really the first time I tackled any kind of design "project".
When I got pregnant my husband and I decided to leave the sex of the baby a surprise. This "old school" approach was met with tons of "oh, I could never do that" and "how will you decorate the nursery?" Picking a theme that was gender neutral was easy for me, I just simply looked to Winnie the Pooh, classic illustration vs. Disney - which may be the only time I've ever gone with a non-Disney version of anything, ever.
I started with the bedding, I found this great crib set via Disney Baby sold through Babies R Us online.
The great thing about this bedding set is all of the pieces that are pictured along with it in the image above are also for sale. Remember how I said we were going to use the term "design" loosely?
With the mobile, lamp and blanket taken care of, the only thing I could not track down was the hamper, all of the major players were out of the way.
From there, I picked out my own rug (cheers for small victories) and found a set of illustrations from Amazon, and a set switch plate covers from Etsy.
Now it's your turn, tell me how you decorated your baby's nursery.
