Two Ways to Stash Cash for Disney

I've been lucky enough to go to Walt Disney World in Florida more times than I can count on two hands, I've gotten out to CA for Disneyland once and Aulani in Hawaii once. However, with a one year old and one on the way, my next Disney trip is far into the future. The plus side to a trip being so far off? I get to save for it! Here are some tips on how to save for your next Disney trip.

2 Ways To Stash Cash For A Trip To Disney

Sign up for the Disney Visa card

How does this help me save for Disney? I'm hoarding all of my Rewards Dollars until our trip. Once we are ready to book, I can apply my Rewards Dollars to our vacation. *PRO TIP* Rewards Dollars NEVER expire once they are transferred to your personalized Rewards Redemption Card. However, they do expire if you do not transfer them to your Rewards Redemption Card. Once you earn 20 Rewards Dollars you can request your Rewards Redemption Card through Chase.

What are Disney Rewards Dollars? You earn 1% on every purchase you make with your Disney Visa. There is NO LIMIT on the amount of Rewards Dollars you can earn. These Rewards Dollars can then be used on Disney purchases like park tickets, resort stays, dinning and souvenirs. You can also use the Rewards Dollars at ShopDisney.com.

Perks of having a Disney Visa include exclusive character meet & greets inside the parks and card member events at the Disney Store.

Turn Your Coins into Disney Gift Cards

I don't know about you, but often times whenever I get coin change back I throw it into the bottom of my purse, diaper bag or into the cup holder of my car where it accumulates and weighs down my bag. Once I started gathering all of my coins and putting them into a mug I realized just how much change (specifically quarters) I had. There are two ways to turn your coins into cash, rolling the coins up and bringing them to your local bank or bringing your mug to your nearest supermarket and using their change machine*.

*These machines will take a cut of your coins so you will get back less than what you put in.

Saving for a trip to Disney? Take your cash and go buy yourself a Disney Gift Card. Disney Gift Cards can be used to purchase park tickets and can be used inside the parks. Like your Disney Rewards Redemption Card, you can use a Disney Gift Card to apply it to your vacation packages to Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. Disney Gift Cards NEVER expire. The big box stores often have deals on Disney gift cards; for example $500 worth of gift cards have been sold for $485. If you have a membership to a place like Costco or Sam's Club, be sure to check in store or online before buying Disney gift cards anywhere else.
