Going to Disneyland or Walt Disney World is exciting for anyone at any age. Imagine not knowing you're going to Disney until a month before, a week before or even the morning of(!!) Having kids can make prepping for a trip a bit (okay, depending on their age, A LOT) more difficult and if yours are anything like mine, the second they hear they are going somewhere they want to know if it is time to leave yet - and they will ask multiple times a day for however many days there are until it is time to leave. Keeping a trip to Disney a surprise can certainly cut down on all of *that*. But when it is time to let them know, how are you going to do it? A quick conversation? Some new outfits? A scavenger hunt? Here are 5 ways you can surprise your kids with a trip to Disney!

5 Ways You Can Surprise Your Kids With a Trip to Disney | Disney Trip Reveals
Let's get down to business! Revealing the surprise can be as simple or as elaborate as you want to make it. Everyone will be excited, don't build up the surprise and reaction in your mind - you never know how a child will react in the moment. Depending on their age they could be totally confused and not even know what in the heck Walt Disney World is, or they could scream for joy and jump up and down. It is important for the adults in the room to be, ahem, adults about it and help them understand if it is needed. The worst thing you can do is give a piece of paper to a child who can't read! But I digress... let's move on to the 5 ways you can surprise your kids with a trip to Disney!
Disney Trip Reveal | A Letter from Mickey Mouse
MommyTravels.net knows a simple letter from Mickey Mouse will do.
A letter can have as much or as little detail as you wish. You can simply have the Mouse himself say he is excited for your family to be guests of his, you can even add in the specific location where he holds meet & greets inside the park and say he's looking forward to meeting your kids soon. Disney Trip Reveal | Balloon Pop Scavenger Hunt
This is a great idea for children who can read and who like to solve riddles and puzzles.
BurlapandBlue.com has created a Balloon Pop Scavenger Hunt printable to make this a super easy, but looks like it took a lot of thought and planning for when you're sharing it on Facebook and TikTok, way to reveal a trip to your kids. Once all of the balloons are popped your kids will have to unscramble the message to see where they are going! How does it work? First decide what you want your message to be, "We're Going to Disneyland" or simply "Walt Disney World", type out the letters, cut them out individually, roll them, place them inside of balloons, blow up each of the balloons and voila! A fun way to reveal a trip that requires 0 prep for you. Sounds like a win-win to me! Disney Trip Reveal | Mickey-Themed Breakfast
Set the scene for your trip reveal with some Mickey Mouse party supplies; Mickey tablecloth, plates, cups and napkins and make Mickey waffles, they sell them frozen at the grocery store or if you're fancy you can purchase a Mickey waffle maker. Even simpler you can make standard pancakes and use a Mickey shaped cookie cutter to make a Mickey head pancake.
You can surprise your kids before you eat or while you're at the table. When I did this for my kids I set up our living room with some red, yellow, and black balloons and I wrapped a Walt Disney World themed gift for them. They couldn't read at the time so I wanted lots of visual clues. They knew Mickey was involved but I had to help them by shouting "We're going to Disney World!!". After we told them we sat down for our Mickey pancakes. Related: May the 4th Be With You Ideas Bonus! Star Wars Themed Trip Reveal
