I am very excited to let you all know about a new joint venture between myself and two other wonderful bloggers! Mid-Atlantic Moms On-The-Go. We are going to be sharing all things Mom Life and to celebrate the launch we are holding a giveaway!
I don't fancy myself to be a "food blogger" by any means but every once and a while I do find a recipe that seems to get some love from friends that I figure I can share with you all. The recipes that I do share are very simple and contain very few ingredients. There is nothing I hate more than when I'm reading through a recipe and find that I have to buy an ingredient (or two) that I've never used before and will probably never use again. This is not that recipe.
I love taking pictures. I always have. At family functions often times it was my set of pictures from the event that were being shared and printed. I take multiple shots, I try multiple angles, I zoom in & out. When I can't be behind the camera I get, admittedly a bit bossy or critical of photos and how they are being taken. But, let's be honest, nothing beats a professional photographer's photos. Be it their camera, their editing skills, their "eye" what have you, professional photographers can make my at-home applied makeup look goooooood. When you have a baby you suddenly become paparazzi snapping photos on your phone at all hours of the day but what do all of these photos have in common? You aren't in them!
I've mentioned this before. I like the Kar-Jenner family. I enjoy watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and I don't see any shame in any of their game. I find them to be pretty relatable (minus their multi-million dollar homes and the like) because they fight, they have things that get them down, and they like to be silly. They just have a higher budget than most but that doesn't make them unlikeable, in my opinion. Kim was incredibly open about her struggles during her two pregnancies and why she decided to have a surrogate with her 3rd and now her 4th child. While she may not register at Buy Buy Baby she did have a baby shower prior to Chicago being born and she has said she is planning on having another baby shower prior to her new baby being born (rumored to be due in May).
If you've watched any programming on TLC over the past 10 years you've seen at least one commercial for "Say Yes to the Dress". Filmed at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC the series shows brides of all shapes, sizes, and backstories shopping for their wedding gown. If they find one they love? They are ultimately asked one very important question, "are you saying yes to the dress?"
If you're anything like me you've thought on more than one occasion that having kids closer together in age would mean that you could get out of the "difficult" stage faster. Once one is potty trained you know the other isn't too, too far behind and before you know it you won't even need a stroller! While that may all be true it does not make getting through having an 18 month old and a 1 month old at the same time any easier. The way to survive 2 under 2? Remembering this 1 very important thing.
WARNING. This post may cause you to binge watch yet another show on Netflix. Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Admittedly I had never heard of Marie Kondo until I stumbled upon a tweet mentioning her new show. What happened next will shock and amaze you, maybe. Probably not. But read on anyway.
