I don't fancy myself to be a "food blogger" by any means but every once and a while I do find a recipe that seems to get some love from friends that I figure I can share with you all. The recipes that I do share are very simple and contain very few ingredients. There is nothing I hate more than when I'm reading through a recipe and find that I have to buy an ingredient (or two) that I've never used before and will probably never use again. This is not that recipe.

5 Ingredient Guacamole

The great thing about this recipe is, it is super easy to make a larger batch. In my example I am going to base my measurements off of using 1 avocado.
What You'll Need

2 avocados
1/2 of tomato
2 slices of onion (or more if you like onion)

Instructions

Honestly, it doesn't get any easier than this. The ingredients are simple (and not spicy) and the prep time is no more than 20 minutes. Allow some time because it does take some prep work to cut all of your vegetables. But that is as labor intensive as this gets.

Step 1:
Open up your avocado, scoop it out, plop it into a bowl & gently dice it.
Step 2:
Cut your tomato and add your pieces to the avocado.

Step 3:
Peel and slice your onion. Chop up your onion slice and add it to the party!

Step 4:
Roll your lemon on the counter to get the juices flowing, cut in fourths and squeeze the juice from 1/4 of the lemon over the bowl.

Step 5:
Roll your lime on the counter, cut it into eighths, and squeeze the juice from 1/8 of the lime over the bowl.
Tip: Don't over mix your guacamole. I try to more so fold the ingredients into each other rather than mashing them up/mixing them together.

I also like to leave at least one pit in the bowl to help keep the guacamole from turning brown.
There ya have it! Probably the easiest recipe for guacamole you'll come by and it doesn't require any ingredients that you otherwise wouldn't use. Now grab some chips and enjoy!
