Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

So much wisdom inside the pages of any given Dr. Seuss book. Today on his birthday, children across the country are celebrating with Read Across America Day. A great way to honor one of the most famed writers. Take a look at some great quotes from his most beloved books and some activities you can do with your children to commemorate the day!

I love Dr. Seuss. You may recall my baby shower was themed after many of his stories. Each story teaches a lesson, some more outwardly than others but the teachings are always there.

Fun Activities 

Make Green Eggs & Ham...sort of. Turning vanilla pudding into green eggs is simple with a few drops of green food coloring and the appears of the yolk can be created with one of my favorite cookies, the Nilla Wafer! Ham need not apply.

Make Thing 1 and Thing 2 out of handprints! All you need is red and blue finger paint and white paper.

First paint just their fingers blue to leave white for the face.

Then paint their hands red leaving space in the middle of their tummy!
