Do Re & Mi Review

Do Re & Mi Review | New Children's Series on Amazon Prime Video

Do Re Mi | Show Synopsis

Do, Re & Mi is an Amazon Original animated series for preschoolers that centers on the musical adventures of three best birdie buddies—voiced by Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn, and Luke Youngblood. Featuring delightful adventures and toe-tapping original songs spanning multiple genres, the series takes little ones on a journey where they will discover new sounds and melodies, move to the beat, and see how music helps solve every problem!

Executive produced by Bell, Tohn, Michael Scharf, and Ivan Askwith, as well as Nicolas Atlan and Terry Kalagian of Gaumont, Do, Re & Mi is a production of Amazon Studios and Gaumont for Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Kids+.

Do Re & Mi | Review

Catchy songs, talking animals, and vibrant colors - what's a preschooler not to like?

Do Re & Mi checks all the blocks for perfect preschooler entertainment and parents won't mind sitting and watching along with them.

Do Re & Mi is fun AND educational. This show does an excellent job of teaching life lessons (like listening to our bodies when we need to slow down, not giving up when things are hard) and the fundamentals of music. I've learned quite a few things from this show!

Bite Size Stories

Do Re & Mi has a run time of about 22 minutes however inside each 22 minute block are two 11 (ish) minute episodes which I am a big fan of!

I tend to think that expecting toddlers and preschoolers to focus on one storyline for 25 minutes is a big ask. I like when shows are broken up into smaller episodes as I believe it helps keep their attention and keeps them engaged in the stories.

Fast Paced

One episode in and I noticed how quickly scenes change in Do Re & Mi.

There is a lot of movement in every scene. Some examples of movement are switching from one character to another, moving up/down as a bird flies, split screens featuring multiple characters or rotating arial views, nothing stays on the screen for too long.

Vibrant Animation

Do Re & Mi | New Series Teaches Children the Fundamentals of Music
Do Re & Mi is vibrantly colored and has super crisp animation. I was really drawn to the eyes of the characters on this show; very big and bright!

Not only are our main characters brightly colored but also the background is vibrant and whimsical, almost Seuss-like. As a theme park lover, I would love to visit a world of Do Re & Mi some day! So many opportunities for bright color facades!

Do Re & Mi is fun to watch, teaches the fundamentals of music, features catchy tunes and has themes of teamwork, friendship, and perseverance. Do Re & Mi really sings!

Watch Do Re & Mi on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Kids+ beginning Friday, September 17th.
