This year is an exciting year in our house. This year marks the first year we'll have an Elf visit us. Yes, we are about to introduce Elf on the Shelf to our toddler. After watching her at egg hunts this past Easter, I think she's really going to grasp the concept of finding the Elf each morning and get excited to search around the house for him. In order to prepare for our new arrival on December 1st, I have complied some Elf on the Shelf set up ideas from some wonderful bloggers! When this tradition started the concept was to simply move the Elf to show that he had left the house to report back to Santa and then arrived in a new hiding place. As the years went by Elf on the Shelf setups became more and more elaborate however, it isn't necessary! As long as the Elf moves, you're good. I think over the course of 24 days I'll switch it up, putting him in fun set ups some nights and other nights just having him sit somewhere random in the house. Easy Elf on the Shelf IdeasEasy places to put your Elf that require no set up. Fun Elf on the Shelf ScenesFor nights when you're feeling creative and have a little more time! Ideas On How to Say Good-Bye to Your ElfI know we haven't officially started yet, but everyone needs an escape plan! Eventually the every family's Elf has to move on and that's why I'm thankful for Carissa from Thankful Living and her post How to Get Rid of Your Elf on the Shelf.
