I'm just going to say it. I'm over changing diapers. I know it's part of the job and I know my 1 year old still needs them but, I'm ready to cut my diaper changes in half. This means tackling potty training my toddler (for real this time) and this means gathering all necessary materials to help reduce the stress of potty training, including a waterproof mattress protector. Getting a GhostBed Mattress Protector is renewing our potty training journey and I'm ready.

Tackling Potty Training with a GhostBed Mattress Protector
You may recall I recently tried (and failed miserably) at potty training my toddler. I admit, I was unprepared. I bought books for her to read to get excited about using the potty, but I didn't buy any for me that laid out a plan for what I needed to do. While I had training underwear for her to wear, I was missing a very important item for her new "big girl" bed. A waterproof mattress protector.
Enter GhostBed Mattress Protector.
The GhostBed Mattress Protector is a product by Nature's Sleep and has the following features:
GhostGrip: a 2 inch thick elastic band which encases the entire bottom of the mattress for maximum stability.
A super soft knit top that provides quite breathability.
A total waterproof barrier with long-lasting durability with every wash.
Non-migrating antimicrobial technology helps eliminate allergens.
A 10 year, limited warranty.
The Ghostbed Mattress Protector will work with just about any mattress, but it is recommended for use with a Ghostbed Memory Foam Mattress.
GhostBed Mattress Protector Review
This protector is available in sizes Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King. No matter the size, the protector ships free!
I placed the order on a Monday afternoon, I received notification of shipment on Wednesday and the mattress protector arrived on Friday. Talk about FAST!
My toddler loves to get packages in the mail (she may take after me) and when I told her this item was for her bed she brought the box into her room! She loves her "big girl bed" and was super excited, even though she doesn't fully grasp the concept of what a water proof mattress protector is, she knows it's hers so therefore she loves it.
I don't know about you, but for me, changing the sheets on the bed is usually quite the workout. I can never get the edges to stay on one corner of the mattress so I can work on the opposite side. This was not the case with the GhostBed Mattress Cover Protector due to the GhostGrip, 2 inch elastic band.
I was able to fully secure one side of the mattress before moving on to the other side. I found this protector to be much easier to put on the mattress by myself than other protectors I've used in the past. Because of the 2 inch elastic band it also means that the mattress protector won't shift in the night.
I know my girl is getting bigger but I still worry about adding extra fabrics, materials and loose layers to her bed. That's why I'm happy to say the GhostBed Mattress Protector did not affect how tightly I could pull the fitted sheet over the mattress. While the protector has a soft knit top, it is not super thick so it doesn't add extra (and unnecessary) padding to her bed which was a great relief for me.
Now that we're equipped with a mattress protector, (and some new reading material for me) I have a feeling our second attempt at potty training is going to yield much better results!
