The Harlem Globetrotters have been entertaining families for nearly 100 years! Their 2024 tour has already kicked off and they have a loooooong list of cities to visit. Harlem Globetrotters Review: Fun for All Ages

Recently my family and I got to see the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters in action! This was not my husband or I's first time, but it was the first time taking our kids. We all had a great time and left in awe of some of the stunts and trick shots the Harlem Globetrotters were able to pull off!

Harlem Globetrotters Review | Fan Interaction

The Harlem Globetrotters interact with as many fans as they can while still playing a game of basketball. During our game, Bulldog was wearing a mic and often chatted with audience members; cracking jokes at the expense of both audience members and his teammates.

During different downtimes someone who was selected from the crowd would hold up a sign that signaled a special play that would occur soon in the game. 

At one point two players chased each other up into the stands!

These jokes and interactions keep everyone entertained, even if you don't understand all of the rules of basketball (and which ones the Globetrotters are breaking!!)

Harlem Globetrotters Review | Globie & Big G

Every team needs a mascot, and lucky for us the Harlem Globetrotters have two! Globie and Big G each get their moment to shine on the floor and are very good dancers!

These two, along with the in-house DJ really get the crowd going by showcasing their dance moves and encouraging those in attendance to get up and dance too.

Harlem Globetrotters Review | 5th Quarter Photos

Pro Tip: Be sure to hang out for the Harlem Globetrotter's 5th Quarter. But Kristen, basketball doesn't have 5 quarters, that doesn't even make sense.

​During this very unique "5th Quarter" the Harlem Globetrotters head back onto the floor to sign autographs and take photos. This special experience is all-access, meaning it is available for all in attendance!!

Harlem Globetrotters Review | Final Thoughts

The Harlem Globetrotters are skilled in basketball and comedic timing. Their unique way of play is a great way to introduce kids to basketball or help foster a love they already have for the game.

I do wish I would have gone over some basketball basics with my girls prior to heading out to see the Globetrotters, my older one had quite a few questions about gameplay!

I love the family-friendly energy of a Harlem Globetrotters game. You see kids all around the arena just having a good time; standing up and dancing, laughing, and eating popcorn!
