Kamp Koral | DVD Review

I'll be honest and say I do not currently have Paramount+ so until now (to my knowledge) I was not able to view any episodes of "Kamp Koral". I had heard about the show about a year ago though, and thought the concept sounded fun! 

I was super excited to receive this DVD and I'm happy to share my thoughts on the series. But let's talk about the elephant in the room right off the bat.

The new animation for "Kamp Koral" is a bit jarring at first given the fact that SpongeBob SquarePants has been around for 20(!!) some odd years. When viewing this DVD it did take some getting used to seeing these, dare I say, iconic, characters in a new format. However, given that the characters are younger in this series, the CG and softer edges work. 

Seasoned SpongeBob fans will have to deal with some continuity issues when watching "Kamp Koral"; we all know SpongeBob and Sandy did NOT meet when they were 10. But other than that, this show will please SpongeBob fans.

Given that SpongeBob looks like he could go hang out with JJ of CoCoMelon, some may assume "Kamp Koral" is a show for younger viewers. It's not. This new series may open itself up to a slightly younger audience but it really is on par with the original series in terms of jokes, topics and antics.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is fun to watch and I believe children 7 years of age and older will really enjoy it!
