Review Baby by KidBox

Remember when I did all of the heavy lifting and researched and compared KIDBOX to StitchFix Kids? After careful consideration I opted to see what KidBox had to offer and I recently received our first box from them. Read on to see why I dubbed an outfit they sent "hideous" in my feedback.
I feel almost silly for all of the time and effort I put into comparing these two brands. I really thought I had it all figured out. The on boarding process and style quiz for KIDBOX felt more user friendly and went a lot quicker. It drilled right down to the point; click what you need, pick some outfits you would gravitate towards and leave us a note to make it even clearer. Well it appears it may have all been in vein. I did not feel this "spring box" took into account the style profile I set up for my daughter AT ALL. That's not to say there weren't some bright spots in the box but there was also that aforementioned hideous outfit too.

The Good

BCBG Girls - Cold Shoulder Ruffle Tunic & Leggings.

This was my favorite piece in the box. Loved the pattern it seemed like a high quality outfit
Jessica Simpson - Diamond Printed, Empire Waist Dress with Diaper Cover.

This was a cute dress. To be fair, in the style quiz I did check that we needed more dresses.

The Bad

Disney Baby - Minnie Bath Towel & Washcloth Set.

Perhaps I missed it, but I was really surprised when I saw a non-clothing item in the box. I know there is a "free gift". included in each box and in this box it was purse clips for the stroller.

I guess I have to give some credit because my note did say we love Disney especially Mickey & Minnie, but I did not expect a towel set. Super disappointing.
Girls 3 Pack Heart Onesies.

One thing I specifically did NOT check off in the "I need" section of the style quiz was onesies. Since my girl is fully into toddlerhood onesies are quickly becoming a thing of the past. As diaper changes need to be quicker to keep up with her boundless energy onesies just do not cut it. Since I didn't say I needed these it was kind of a bummer to see them in the box.

The Ugly

One thing I (thought) I made explicitly clear was that we do not pattern mix. If a shirt has a pattern on it, the pants will be plain or vise versa. This a style trend for some, but it just is not for me and I do not do it for my daughter.

If she likes pattern mixing she's older than by all means she can have at it, but while I'm dressing her it's going to be a no for me. As you can see this Dalmatian and stripped outfit totally pattern mixes and it is totally harsh on my eyes!! Please tell me if I was too harsh is dubbing this "hideous" in my feedback.

The Verdict

Sadly, I sent the entire box back. I put time into the note I left for the stylists and I do not feel they paid attention to it at all which I found really disappointing. I am totally giving KIDBOX another chance though because I left very detailed feedback on each item and then on the box overall. I have high hopes they will take this into consideration for the "summer box" but we'll see.
