Let me first state that I am not, nor am I planning on becoming a seller of LulaRoe. This is an honest review from someone who has bought a few pieces after not being able to escape all of the hype (and Facebook group invites). LulaRoe is the latest craze in semi-affordable fashion. The marketing behind their products is genius. They only print each print about 1,000 times, so when you see one you like, buy it, because you may not see it again.
Items I have purchased are: leggings, the Randy shirt, the Irma shirt, and the Classic T. The leggings are no doubt LulaRoe's bread and butter and let me tell you, they are smooth like butter. While a pair costs $25 plus shipping & handling the price is worth it if you can buy a staple piece that you can wear over and over again. I hit the jackpot when I was able to score a pair of solid, black leggings. At the time I had no idea what a "Unicorn" I had found. Unicorn is the term they use to describe someone's dream pair that they saw and have yet to get their hands on.
A majority of the prints from LulaRoe are, in a word, loud. However they do make solid colored leggings, shirts, dresses and skirts too so if you are faint of heart, you can find something more your speed.
While there have been reports of leggings ripping, I have not had this happen to me and when you purchase a pair the seller advises you not to put them in the dryer (full disclosure, I have every single time and they are fine thus far).
After the leggings, the pricing for the pieces, in my opinion, get expensive. The Randy, a baseball style, three-quarter sleeve shirt costs $35. This shirt can be found as a solid top with the print on the sleeve which makes it very wearable. The shirt is long so you can of course pair it with one of their leggings or you can wear it with jeans. The Ihe Irma shirt, is oversized and not very shapely shirt. This also costs $35 and is my least favorite item I have purchased. You can belt it or tie it but it just doesn't do much for me. The Classic T also costs $35 and fits a little longer than a normal t-shirt which makes it great to wear with their leggings however at $35 it also costs more than normal t-shirts. A dress or sweater from LulaRoe can cost as much as $70, which for not being a true "designer" brand is a bit steep for me. Since LulaRoe has teamed with Disney I have ventured into purchasing prints simply because I cannot resit anything Disney but I still have tried my hardest to purchase what I think are the most wearable ones I see. All in all, I like LulaRoe and I will continue to purchase items from them but this can become a very expensive habit given the "buy it now or never see it again" mentality. LulaRoe in the past has released special Halloween and Christmas themed prints, it will be interesting to see if their collaboration with Disney carries over to these collections. If so, I see a lot of Disney LulaRoe in my future. Stay tuned!
