Sesame Street - My Favorite Holidays! | DVD Review

Sesame Street - My Favorite Holidays! teaches little ones important lessons about the holidays we celebrate. We start off with Halloween and end with New Year's Eve as we make our way though this extra special time of the year.

One of the more beautiful moments comes during the Thanksgiving portion of this DVD.

To quickly sum up, Prairie Dawn is stressing (big time) about the Thanksgiving song she has prepared and wants her friends to sing. Rosita notices the song does not include any of the foods her family eats on Thanksgiving and Prairie Dawn does not do a good job at trying to make her feel better about it.  After talking with other friends on Sesame Street Rosita realizes not everyone eats all of the same foods on Thanksgiving Day and that they are lucky to be able to share their favorite foods and try the favorite foods of others!

This DVD features a menu that allows grownups to select specific sections or simply "play all" for the DVD to run continuously until the end.

Sesame Street - My Favorite Holidays! includes an extra special bonus feature, a one-hour long special titled "Once Upon a Sesame Street". In this special Elmos learns about a grouchier Sesame Street and how his great-great-great-grand(monster) moved in and helped bring kindness to Sesame Street!

To access this bonus feature, grownups will need to access the main menu of the DVD and select "bonus feature".
