Something really special has come out of needing to stay home, and that's that companies across all platforms are working to release content and programing geared for kids who are home from school (and are unable to go hangout with their friends). This is uncharted territory for a lot of families; children needing to stay home and be homeschooled while parents also need to do their own work by working from home. Sony Pictures employees are going through this as well and that's when the idea for Sony Pictures' brand new YouTube channel was born. This new channel provides videos of crafts, science experiments, dance routines and sing-alongs all in a way that can get kids involved in their own homes. Sony Pictures Launches Interactive Family YouTube ChannelAbout Sony Pictures Kid ZoneSony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) announced the launch of their new You Tube Channel, Sony Pictures’ Kids Zone, providing parents and kids with a one stop central destination for interactive fun, physical movement, learning, and hands-on activities. Sony Pictures’ Kids Zone is curated with a wide range of activities that will support families coping with school closures, new work-from-home routines and social distancing. “A significant portion of Sony Pictures’ workforce is made up of working parents. The idea of Sony Pictures’ Kids Zone was born from parents on our own team adjusting to working from home and managing home schooling,” says Lexine Wong, Senior Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing. “We are proud to offer this resource to help families navigate these new and challenging circumstances, while hopefully having a little fun in the process. ”SonyPictures’ Kids Zone will feature exciting content from our partners at Sony Pictures Animation as well as SPE’s catalog of live action favorites.
