Spies in Disguise: How to Throw a Spy Party

I love a good themed party and what better way to celebrate the home release of SPIES IN DISGUISE than with a spy themed movie viewing party?! Here are all of the essentials you'll need to throw the best spy party ever!

Spy Party Step 1: Registration

Here is where future spies will check in. Future spies need to be added to the database so they will of course be finger printed, spy names and  a name tag. Just a BX Mom threw a spy party and has a great printable spy name tag.

Spy Party Step 2: Training

Just because they have a super cool spy name doesn't mean they are a spy. Put those future spies to the test! Create a laser maze with string, streamers or yarn and instruct the spies in training to make it through the room without touching any of the lasers. Exploring Domesticity created an intense laser maze for her spy party and it should serve as great inspiration.

Spy Party Step 3: Disguises

Every good spy needs a good disguise (I mean the movie is literally called SPIES IN DISGUISE). Once future spies have been registered and have past the test of the laser maze they will need to be given disguises and items that will help them on their potential missions. Spy Party Step 4: The Mission

Here's when the spies will need to put their training and skillset to the test! For your themed movie night, take your SPIES IN DISGUISE Blu-ray and LOCK IT IN A BOX.

From here there are a few ways the mission can go.

Option A. Present the box to your spies have them figure out what the combination code is based off of your clues.
Option B. Hide the box with the movie in it somewhere in the house and provide clues for where the box might be. 
Option C. Hide the box AND/OR the key to unlock it somewhere in the house and provide clues for where they both are.
Option D. Present your spies with multiple locked boxes and have them work to figure out the correct combo code to unlock the box that holds the movie.

I use the word lock loosely. You can simply tell your spies the box is locked and then hide it or have them come up with the combination code (any set of numbers you'd like) and when they guess correctly you can say now the box is unlocked.  

If you're really feeling tricky you can use a cardboard box (or any type of box) and wrap a chain lock around it with a combination lock OR you can grab a money box with a key (this is something Exploring Domesticity was able to grab at a local GoodWill store) and lock the box. Then you can hide the both the box and key or just the key somewhere in your home.

Either way, your party guests - I mean spies will be tasked with finding that night's feature presentation! Once they find the movie, pop some popcorn and enjoy the hilarious, SPIES IN DISGUISE.
