The Smurfs Season 1, Volume 2 DVD | Review

This volume 2 DVD features 9 episodes and is packed with girl power - that's because this collection of episodes include Willow, Blossom, Storm and Lily!

Most of the episodes on this DVD are two separate stories in one 22(ish) minute block, however "The Pluffs" and "Smurfy Secrets" are both two-part episodes featuring one storyline.

In "The Pluffs", The Smurfs are in an alternate universe! This episode is a fun departure from the traditional Smurf storyline because in this episode The Smurfs, I mean The Pluffs are angry and Gargamel - err, Carmel is NICE!

In "Smurfy Secrets" Gargamel is able to transform into a Smurf! Out of fear, the Smurfs share their secrets with Brainy and Storm in order to protect The Smurfs and their village.

On par with the Volume 1 DVD, these episodes include cartoon violence (no one is hurt for long) and light peril (The Smurfs are often captured, yet always freed).

​The Smurfs always get into some sort of trouble and the episodes on this DVD made my kids laugh out loud!
