Do Kids Need a Ticket?

Children ages 0 - 7 are FREE, but they still need a ticket for entry. Simply go to the ticketing page for your location and select the 0-7 ticket, marked $0.00 and fill in your child's name and age. Please note these tickets do not include a lantern.

Children ages 8 - 14 require a youth ticket at a discounted rate from the adult ticket. These tickets provide the child with their own lantern.

Children aged 15 will need an adult ticket.

What are the Lanterns Made Of?

Water Lantern Festival lanterns are made of rice paper and wood and the lights are LED candles that get reused and recycled.

What Happens to the Lanterns After the Festival?

Water Lantern Festival follows a "leave no trace" policy. At each location Water Lantern Festival team members collect every lantern from the event (as well as any other trash along the water they come in contact with) - they are committed to leaving the community even cleaner than when they arrived.
