Hersheypark Zoo America Virtual Experiences

Bring the zoo to your classroom, Scout meeting or birthday! Hersheypark's Zoo America is offering virtual zoo programs this winter! Children and adults alike can learn about North American animals, their habitats and more! Find out what types of animals they're showcasing and how much a virtual zoo program though Zoo American will cost.

Hersheypark and Zoo America Now Offering Virtual Animal Experiences

There are three different types of experience currently being offered; Programs, Encounters and Tours.

Zoo American | Virtual Programs

All of the programs currently offered through Zoo America are for 25 virtual learners, have a run time of 45 minutes and cost $175 each. The programs run from 9am to 4pm.

A To Zoo
Preschoolers and students in 1st grade.
Participants will learn the alphabet in a wild way with a ZooAmerica twist on the ABC's. There will be live animals, lots of biofacts and a Q&A session with zoo educators.

Native Pennsylvania Species
1st grade and up.
Participants will learn about the wildlife species that call our state home. There will be live animals and a Q&A session with zoo educators. 

Endangered Species
3rd grade and up.
This program examines the reasons behind the decline in wildlife populations, habitat changes, and the importance of biodiversity with live animals through an interactive session with our educators.

Paws, Claws, Scales & Tails
All ages.
Participants will learn about the adaptations animals use for survival in the wild with live animals and a Q&A session with zoo educators.

Zoo America | Virtual Encounters

All of these encounters run between 15 and 20 minutes and cost $75 each. It is important to note that according to Zoo America, the animals have the option to participate.

​2 Animals
Two ambassador animals with a 5-minute Q&A after the presentation.

1 Animal with Training
Choose from a selection of animals and have an up-close training session with their trainers.

Skunk Painting with Training
Participants can choose the colors that the skunk will paint with as they learn about their training and ask questions. For an added treat, the painting will be mailed to the participants at the end!

Zoo America | Virtual Tours

There are currently 2 virtual tours offered through Zoo America. These tours are available daily between 10am and 3pm and are for up to 25 virtual participants. Prices and length of tour vary.

1 Animal
$75. 15 minutes.
Virtual tour of one habitat and learn all about the animal that lives there.
Current options include otters, bears, mountain lion, pronghorn, wolves and thick-billed parrots. 

Outside Animal Tour
$250. 45 minutes.
Virtual tour of the following animals in their outdoor habitats: bobcat, otters, bears, elk, mountain lion, pronghorn, snowy owl, wolves, deer, bald eagle, porcupine and lynx.
*No guarantee that all animals will be visible*

Live in the Hershey, PA area? Even though Hersheypark is closed for the season, Zoo America is open YEAR ROUND. Current hours for February and March are listed as 10am to 4:30pm.
