PJ Masks airs in the US on Disney Junior. It is also available on Disney's streaming service, Disney+ yet you won't find the PJ wearing heroes at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. This is not for lack of Disney Junior representation, Doc Mcstuffins, Fancy Nancy and Vampirina can all be found in both Florida and California so where are the PJ Masks heroes? You have to be very strategically located. These heroes don't take a lot of days off and their 2020 schedule is pretty light (thus far).
About PJ Masks
PJ Masks is a show about three brave heroes who go to school together during the day and fight "fiendish villains" at night. Connor turns into Cat Boy and downs blue pajamas and his super power is "Super Cat Speed", Greg becomes Gekko in green pajamas and his super power is "Super Muscles" lastly Amaya becomes Owlette in red pajamas and she can fly with her "Super Owl Wings".
The trio fight off a rotating catalog of villains. Their most frequent foes are Romeo, Luna Girl and Night Ninja.
The PJ Masks have an entire building or "HQ" with high tech gadgets and multiple modes of transportation. There is the super fast Cat Car, the Owl Glider that can fly and the Gekko Mobile which can camouflage like a Gekko to its surroundings.
They spot something awry during the day and then stop the bad guys at night. The only thing I'm not sure of, is when they sleep. Also, none of the children' parents are ever seen, do they know their kids fight crime at night? So many questions, not enough time to ponder.
Are the PJ Masks in Disney World or Disney Land?
No! You won't find the PJ Masks anywhere on Disney property. Why? Disney didn't actually create the show. PJ Masks is a French-British creation based off a French book series titled, Les Pyjamasques. The show was originally produced by Frog Box, Entertainment One, Team TO in conjunction with France Televisions and Disney Junior. In 2019, Hasbro acquired Entertainment One making the masked heroes now part of the Hasbro family however it appears Entertainment One is still operating under this name.
Meet PJ Masks at Sea Life Aquarium
We know they aren't in Disney but where are they? Entertainment One announced a partnership with Merlin Entertainment (owner of Sea Life Aquariums among other things) in 2019 with part of the deal creating PJ Masks themed exhibits at the Sea Life Aquarium locations worldwide. It is on the PJ Masks official site that you'll find a string of appearances at Sea Life locations in the US celebrating the new exhibits.
Their scheduled events are as follows:
Sea Life - Auburn Hills, MI - April 4, 2020
Sea Life - Bloomington, MN - April 30, 2020
Sea Life - Orlando, FL - June 1, 2020
Sea Life - Charlotte, NC - August 1, 2020
Sea Life - Tempe, AZ - August 7, 2020
Sea Life - Grapevine, TX - October 1, 2020
Aside from their events at Sea Life locations there is one day in May when the PJ Masks will be available for a meet and greet and it is at a surprising monster's house.
Meet PJ Masks at Sesame Place
The partnership with Merlin Entertainment explains the Sea Life Aquarium appearances but in my research I have not yet been able to find a link between PJ Masks and Elmo.
That being said, Sesame Place located in Langhorne, PA will hold a one day only event on May 16, 2020 with PJ Masks. Guests will be able to take photos with and give "super hugs" to Cat Boy, Gekko and Owlette.
But why? I can honestly say I have no idea.
This is not the first year the trio will have met with guests at Sesame Place. In previous years, Sesame Place has dubbed an entire "Super Heroes Weekend" having PJ Masks appear in the park as well as characters from Super Why! a television show that currently airs on PBS stations.
Try as I might I cannot seem to find a connection between the PJ Masks and the lovable furry monsters yet come May 16th when you're looking for Cat Boy, Gekko and Owlette you'll be able to find them where the sunny days sweep the clouds away, ya know, a place where the air is sweet - I'm talking about, Sesame Street!
