Sesame Place Preps for 40th Birthday with New Ride and Eatery

Last year Sesame Street celebrated 50 years and this year Sesame Place, located in Langhorne, PA will celebrate its 40th birthday. Sesame Place just announced new details on how the park will celebrate the big 4 - 0 and it includes in-park decorations, a new ride and a new place to eat!

Sesame Place to Celebrate 40th Birthday with New Ride and Eatery

Last year, while Sesame Street marked their 50th anniversary, Sesame Place proudly decorated to commemorate the momentous occasion and now this year Sesame Place gets to have a party for themselves!

Celebrating a birthday at Sesame Place is fun, celebrating Sesame Place's birthday at Sesame Place is going to be a grand event!

Sesame Place recently announced their 40th birthday party will last all season long. There will be an inflatable birthday cake, giant candles, themed photo ops, and balloons all throughout Sesame Place. PLUS after the new additions added for Sesame Street's 50th anniversary last year, there will be even more new attractions and dinning added to the park for Sesame Place's 40th birthday this year!

Big Bird's Tour Bus

A ride for the whole family! This oversized, red, double-decker bus (guests on bottom, Big Bird and friends figures on top) will go up and down around and around in front of a Sesame Street landscape.

Slimey's Square

This brand new soft-play area will be appropriately located near Oscar's Wacky Taxi Coaster and will be the perfect place for ages 5 years and younger to climb and crawl while their parents watch.

ABC Eats

Items said to be sold at Sesame Place's latest eatery will be salads and wraps. 

Brand New Dinning Events at Sesame Place in 2020

Ahead of their 40th birthday celebration, Sesame Place added brand new events to their calendar for 2020. There are now special themed dinning events that you can purchase a reservation to but please note this does NOT include a day at the park as all of these lunches are scheduled prior to the park's 2020 operating season.

Elmo's Rockin' Birthday Bash (February 1 & 2)
This lunch buffet will feature special birthday themed desserts as guests and Sesame Place friends celebrate Elmo's birthday.
Choice of 11:30am or 2:00pm start time on either day

My Fuzzy Valentine's Day Lunch (February 15 & 16)
This buffet lunch will feature Sesame Place friends and festive singing, dancing and themed desserts.
Only one time is available each day: 11:30am

St. Patrick's Day Dine (March 14)
Come dressed in green as Sesame Place friends dance (and jig) at this St. Paddy's day lunch buffet.
Choice of 11:30am or 2:00pm start time

Big Bird's Pajama Party (March 21 & 22)
Wear your coziest pajamas to this pajama party lunch buffet! 
Choice of 11:30am or 2:00pm start time on either day
