Elmo may always be 3 and half in our hearts but each year he has a birthday! Celebrate everyone's favorite little monster with themed crafts! I'm sharing some great ideas for how you can celebrate Elmo's birthday!

Elmo's Birthday | Paper Plate Craft

This paper plate craft is super easy and requires few materials, I have deemed the paper plate version of this Elmo inspired craft as the "messy" one since it requires paint. There is also a mess-free version if you click over to the post. A little mess can be fun (at the right time). I free cut the eyes, nose and mouth and let my little one place the pieces herself, which makes for a fun Avant garde take on Elmo!

Elmo's Birthday | Elmo Paper Craft

Maggy over at RedTedArt has created the cutest Elmo paper craft that is actually a bookmark corner! To create this Elmo paper craft all you need is, you guessed it - paper! The best part is Maggy has a step by step video tutorial on how to fold the paper to create Elmo's face (she also makes a Cookie Monster bookmark, complete with cookie crumbles!!)

No birthday celebration is complete without dessert and these Elmo cookies are sure to do the trick! Amanda'sCookin provides step by step instructions and some helpful tips on how to create a perfectly iced cookie. She also makes Cookie Monster cookies which I'm sure the monster himself would not be able to resist!
