Sesame Street Craft Ideas

This Elmo craft requires few supplies and is perfect for little ones. My toddler had a blast making an Elmo face (even if it was more abstract that I was originally envisioning). There are two ways you can set up this craft for your child; messy OR mess-free.

A plate craft I created with my toddler was this Oscar the Grouch Mask. Here we used paint (so there was no way around the mess) but she had a blast using both a paint brush and her hands to paint the plate green. After she finished painting she placed the cutouts of construction paper on his face (eyebrows and tongue). I cut out the circles for eyes, hand drew the mouth and attached a string which allowed her to wear the mask hands-free.

This Hand Print Cookie Monster was geared more towards my younger daughter. She was a more willing participant to allow me to paint her hand and make prints on the paper. From there I did my best trying to create Cookie's eyes out of construction paper.

This Highchair Decoration from Life of 2 Snowbirds can easily be repurposed into a fun craft to create with your child, just hang it on your fireplace or wall instead of a highchair! Super easy step by step instructions are included in this post.
