LEGOLAND News from New York and Florida

If you know me, you know I love visiting theme parks and I have been doing my best to keep up on the goings on at theme parks throughout 2020 from theme park closures and season pass extensions to reopenings and new holiday offerings.

2021 is already brimming with exciting theme park news!

LEGOLAND has made two major announcements recently regrind their New York and Florida locations and I've got the details.

Legoland News | Legoland New York Will Open in 2021

It's official! After having to initial postpone their grand opening last year, LEGOLAND New York has announced they will indeed open for the 2021 season!

"We are thrilled with Governor Cuomo's announcement for the reopening of family attractions, including outdoor theme parks. This means LEGOLAND New York Resort will be able to celebrate its grand opening this season as planned." - Stephanie Johnson, divisional director of Legoland New York Resor

Details about the grand opening have not yet been released, nor an actual opening date BUT this is certainly an exciting step in the right direction!

​Construction on LEGOLAND New York has been on going for both the theme park and the LEGOLAND Hotel.

LEGOLAND New York will feature 7 themed lands along with places to dine and shop. 

Legoland News | Legoland Florida Adding World's First Peppa Pig Theme Park

Merlin Entertainments has announced they are partnering with Hasbro to bring the FIRST stand-alone Peppa Pig theme park to their LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

No official opening date has been announced other than "2022". 

The new stand-alone park, per the official release from Merlin Entertainment will feature "multiple rides, interactive attractions, themed playscapes and water areas - complete with "muddy puddles" of course - and fun live shows daily"

Families will also be able to meet Peppa and her friends when visiting the park.

Ride and attraction info is said be coming this summer and currently the name of the park appears to be "Peppa Pig Theme Park". 

When Peppa Pig Theme Park opens it will be a separately ticketed park and will offer standalone membership passes as well as a combined membership pass to include LEGOLAND Theme Park, LEGOLAND Water Park and "other regional Merlin Entertainments attractions".
