Did you know, in 1984, President Ronald Regan declared July "National Ice Cream Month" and established the third Sunday in July as "National Ice Cream Day"?

There is actually a proclamation that states that "ice cream is a nutritious and wholesome food" and that it "enjoys a reputation as the perfect dessert and snack food".
